Product description

The ALPHA LASER ALO 120 is an enclosed Nd:YAG laser welding system designed for precise manual welding of small and intricate components. With 120 W average laser power, 10 kW peak pulse power and pulse energy of up to 95 J, it delivers controlled welding performance for applications requiring accuracy, consistency and reliable results.

Its enclosed working chamber, integrated fume extraction, ergonomic viewing system and adjustable welding parameters make it suitable for manufacturers working with precision components, sensors, jewellery and dental applications.

The ALO 120 combines precision laser technology with a compact, enclosed workstation for convenient manual welding. Its pulsed Nd:YAG laser operates at a wavelength of 1064 nm, allowing accurate energy delivery to the welding area while helping minimise unwanted heat impact on surrounding material.

The system features a 120 mm focusing objective, adjustable welding spot and touchscreen-based operation. Its enclosed chamber supports safe and comfortable handling of smaller workpieces, while integrated extraction and dual shielding-gas nozzles support a cleaner and more controlled welding environment.

Optional Accessories

  • External cooling connection
  • Micro-welding function
  • Manual rotary axis
  • Pneumatic rotary axis

Features

High-Performance Nd:YAG Laser Source

Equipped with a 120 W Nd:YAG laser source, the ALO 120 provides up to 10 kW peak pulse power and 95 J pulse energy for precise welding across a range of small-component applications.

Precise Pulse Control

Adjustable pulse duration from 0.5 to 20 ms and pulse frequency up to 50 Hz allow operators to adapt welding parameters to different materials, thicknesses and component geometries.

Adjustable Welding Spot

The welding spot diameter can be adjusted from 0.2 to 2.0 mm, supporting accurate processing of fine details and small workpiece areas.

Enclosed Working Chamber

The enclosed chamber provides a dedicated workspace measuring 560 × 346 × 214 mm, with a maximum workpiece height of 104 mm.

Ergonomic Optical Viewing

A Leica binocular viewing system with 10× magnification supports accurate visual control during welding. Optional magnification configurations are available, subject to the selected equipment package.

Integrated Fume Extraction

The integrated H14 extraction system helps remove welding fumes from the working area, supporting a cleaner operating environment.

Dual Shielding-Gas Supply

The system features two shielding-gas nozzles—one fixed and one flexible—which can be individually adjusted and shut off to suit different welding requirements.

Touchscreen Operation and Program Storage

Touchscreen controls provide convenient access to operating parameters. The system supports 40 parameter sets and 10 preset plus 10 freely adjustable pulse shapes, as specified in the manufacturer's current product information.
