Product description

The ALPHA LASER ALM 200 is a mobile Nd:YAG laser welding system designed for flexible welding, mould repair and on-site industrial applications. With an average laser power of 200 W, peak pulse power of 9 kW and pulse energy of 90 J, it supports pulsed laser welding operations across different workpiece geometries.

Its mobile design allows the laser system to be brought directly to the workpiece, reducing the need to dismantle large moulds or components. The electrohydraulically controlled laser arm can be positioned and secured at the required working location. Equipped with joystick operation, a programmable user coordinate control and an air-cooled system, the ALM 200 offers flexibility for industrial welding and repair requirements.

Technical Accessories

  • ALFT-HDMI Camera System – Allows the welding process to be displayed on an external monitor. The camera is mounted below the microscope attachment and includes a power supply, HDMI cable and laser connection cable.
  • Ergo Wedge (5°–25°) – Allows the microscope binocular to be tilted for improved operator ergonomics.
  • Flexible Halogen Bulb – Provides additional lighting for the work area.
  • Magnetic Holding Sphere – Enables quick positioning and secure holding of the workpiece in different working positions.
  • Perpendicular Objective with LED Ring Light – Provides even, flicker-free illumination of the workpiece. Available with 150 mm or 300 mm focusing objectives.
  • Rotary Axis Module – Designed for welding cylindrical components. Supports horizontal-to-vertical rotational positioning and includes a 125 mm chuck with a 24 mm inside diameter.
  • Touch Operating Unit for 4-Axis Control – Allows adjustment of four movement axes in semi-automatic mode and triggering of laser pulses. The laser pulse and shielding gas are triggered simultaneously.
  • Turn and Tilt Objective – Allows the laser beam to be directed up to 40° from the vertical across a full 360° rotational range. Helps access difficult-to-reach welding areas without repositioning the workpiece.

Industrial Applications

The ALM 200 is suitable for applications where mobility, accessibility and flexible laser welding are required.

  • Mould and tool repair
  • On-site welding and repair services
  • Large component repair
  • Industrial maintenance and repair
  • Welding at multiple production locations
  • Repair operations at customer facilities
  • Welding of cylindrical components with the optional rotary axis
  • Welding in difficult-to-access component areas

The manufacturer particularly recommends the ALM system for service providers handling customer repair requirements and large manufacturing facilities with multiple points of operation.
