Product description
Built Around the Workpiece
AL-IN is an entry-level industrial laser welding system designed to handle both fine welding tasks and larger components. It combines AL or AL-F laser sources with the AL-T X/Y/Z motion system, allowing the laser resonator to move across the work area instead of requiring the workpiece to be repositioned. The resonator can swivel through nearly 360° and travel along a long slide rail, making it easier to reach different areas of large components, molds and pallets. This approach also reduces the need for complex workpiece clamping when working with bulky or difficult-to-move parts.
Two Laser Technology Options
The AL-IN range is available with Nd sources from 120 W to 300 W and fiber laser models from 150 W to 600 W. The Nd models operate in pulsed mode, while the fiber variants support both pulsed and continuous-wave operation.
Touch Control for Laser & Motion
A removable touch display provides control over both the laser and motion system. Operators can teach surfaces, use predefined applications for rotary components and manage optional wire feeding from the same interface.
Adaptable for Different Applications
AL-IN can be configured with accessories including rotary axes, camera systems, wire feeders, turn-and-tilt objectives and multifunctional foot switches. Fibre variants can also support the AL-FLOW powder nozzle for deposition welding.
Flexible Workpiece Handling
The system supports different worktables, pallets and lifting-column configurations, allowing the setup to be adapted to the size, geometry and handling requirements of the component.
Features
Movable Resonator System
The AL-T motion system moves the laser resonator rather than the workpiece, making it easier to work with large, heavy or awkwardly positioned components.
Nearly 360° Resonator Swivel
The swiveling resonator provides greater access to different welding positions and component geometries.
Nd & Fiber Laser Options
Choose between Nd models from 120 W to 300 W or fiber laser models from 150 W to 600 W according to the welding application.
Pulsed & Continuous-Wave Operation
The fiber laser variants support pulsed and CW operation, providing flexibility across different welding requirements.
Removable Touch Display
The touch panel controls the laser and motion system while allowing operators to teach surfaces and access predefined applications.
Rotary Application Support
The system can be configured for rotary applications with compatible rotary modules, making it suitable for cylindrical and rotational components.
Expandable Accessory Configuration
AL-IN can be equipped with accessories such as a camera system, rotary axis, wire feeder, turn-and-tilt objective and AL-Hub table.
Micro-Welding Capability
Nd models support welding spot diameters down to 0.05 mm when configured for micro-welding, making the system suitable for fine, precise work.

Maintenance & care
Keep the optical path, focusing components, work area and machine surfaces clean, and follow the recommended inspection and servicing procedures for the selected laser configuration. Accessories such as rotary modules, wire feeders and cooling systems should also be checked according to their respective maintenance requirements.
May we help?
- What is the advantage of the resonator-moves concept?
- Instead of moving a large or heavy workpiece into position, AL-IN moves the laser resonator along its slide rail and swivel mechanism. This can simplify access to large components and reduce the need for complicated positioning.
- What is the difference between the AL-IN and AL-IN F models?
- The AL-IN models use Nd laser sources from 120 W to 300 W, while the AL-IN F models use fiber laser sources from 150 W to 600 W. The fiber variants also support both pulsed and continuous-wave operation.
- Can AL-IN be configured for different types of workpieces?
- Yes. The system can be configured with different worktables, pallets, lifting columns and accessories such as rotary axes, camera systems and wire feeders to suit different component sizes and welding applications.
