Maintenance & care
Follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for the Nd:YAG laser source, optical components, microscope attachment, movement system and control unit. Keep focusing optics and protective surfaces clean, inspect electrical connections and mechanical components regularly, and ensure proper operation of the cooling and safety systems. Maintain the movement axes and work surfaces according to the manufacturer's recommended procedures.
May we help?
- What type of laser does the AL-IN 150 use?
- The AL-IN 150 uses a 150 W Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm, operating in pulsed mode. It delivers 9 kW peak pulse power and up to 90 J pulse energy, with pulse durations of 0.5–20 ms, pulse frequencies of 0–100 Hz and an adjustable power curve within each laser pulse.
- How does the AL-IN 150 compare with the AL-IN 120?
- The AL-IN 150 has a 150 W Nd:YAG laser source and pulse frequencies up to 100 Hz, compared with 120 W and up to 50 Hz on the AL-IN 120. It runs on a 3 × 400 V supply instead of the 200–240 V supply of the AL-IN 120. Both offer 9 kW peak pulse power, up to 90 J pulse energy and the same 400 × 210 × 300 mm movement range.
- What working range does the AL-IN 150 offer?
- The AL-T movement base covers a range of 400 × 210 × 300 mm on the X, Y and Z axes at up to 25 mm/s, operated by joystick, with an optional rotary axis. Components are positioned independently of the movement system, so both small and large workpieces can be welded.
- Can the AL-IN 150 be used for micro welding?
- Yes. In addition to the standard 0.2–2.0 mm welding spot, an optional micro-welding function provides spots of 0.05–0.5 mm for fine precision work. The Leica microscope attachment with 10× eyepieces (16× optional) gives a clear view of the weld.
- What are the power and space requirements of the AL-IN 150?
- The AL-IN 150 requires a 3 × 400 V / 50–60 Hz / 3 × 16 A supply, with external cooling available as an option. The movement system measures 950 × 1250 × 850 mm and weighs approx. 230 kg, and the laser power supply measures 450 × 850 × 860 mm and weighs approx. 150 kg.
